At Safe Families for Children of Houston, we are currently in our launch phase, preparing for our Official Launch in April 2026. While we are not yet operational, we are excited to begin building our community and laying the foundation for the support we’ll soon offer to families in need. In the heart of our city, where strength and community run deep, we’re here to surround families with care, compassion, and connection—especially during life’s toughest moments.

The Safe Families Model is an innovative, evidence-based approach that supports parents by connecting them to a caring network of relationships and resources before child welfare and family separation become necessary.

At Safe Families for Children, we recognize that facing life alone as a parent is hard. That is why we connect parents with locally vetted volunteers who walk alongside them, offering a network of relationships and resources to help parents get back on their feet.

We create an extended-family-like Circle of Support that provides community, hope, and belonging, allowing parents to stabilize their situation, overcome obstacles, and build a brighter, more stable future for themselves and their children.

Our goal is to support and strengthen families facing crisis, prevent child abuse and neglect, and reduce the number of children unnecessarily entering foster care – ultimately keeping more families together.
